gartrac arched mk4 race shell

this has been sat on my parents drive for a year untouched so i've decided to sell as i've just bought a skyline and along with my race car and combi van project i now have no spare time or money to finish this off the way i wanted to

the shell is a mix of mk3 and 4 panels with a fibreglass gartrac wide arch kit, fibreglass bonnet. it's fully seam welded, single roof skin, welded in cage with bars in the right places. nice and solid no structural rust, some surface rust on interior panels in the rear but can be cleaned up and re-painted easily. bulkhead has had majority of holes welded up. dash has been cut around cage and fit snuggly, some facia panels made up to mount gauges/switches etc. front turrets are early mk3, i've flattened them slightly and had a set of spherical bearing top mounts made up to fit so it has adjustable castor and camber. adjustable lower arms too, gaz coilovers (not the gold ones) standard ARB on at the moment but have rs1600i ready for refurb and fitting, adjustable rear tie bars, fully poly bushed, brembo 4 pots off a big merc (have part numbers etc) with focus rs ebc grooved 332mm(i think) disks, 6-pots off a gsx-r1000 ready to be mounted on back was having trouble sourcing disks as they need to be very thin (8mm from memory) so haven't made brackets to mount these as i don't have disks. wheel stud conversion, brand new 16x8 compomotive MO's et0 with new unused medium 888's all round. deep front splitter with laguna splitter on bottom. rear diffuser that starts from 1/2 way down the car and ties into rear bumper (not fitted) pics show the first effort second one is welded and alot 'cleaner'. recaro bucket seat (out of date), 3" 4 point momo harness new unused in date, snap off with momo steering wheel, quick rack, new rod ends, ally fuel tank in fabricated 'well' in boot, battery mounted behind passenger in 'well' as low as i could get it

currently has a 2.1ltr zetec turbo, think they're calibra turbo pistons (flat on top) tripple layer metal head gasket, arp studs/shell cap studs/main studs, new big end bearings, rover turbo inlet manifold with ferriday adaptor, oil cooler take off plate, remote oil filter, mocal oil cooler (all need plumbing in), auto specialist fuel pump, airtec big front mount, airtec ally rad, all silicone hoses, baileys dump valve, t3 flanged tubular exhaust manifold (heat wrapped now, bare in pics), CTS stage2 box, burton quick shift, ap ceramic paddle clutch, custom made ally header tank

sure there's more i've forgotten! i have an excel sheet which i used to keep track of all parts bought, work left to be done etc i can send you
as i've said it was my project car, i got it as a bare shell and have slowly been building it up, so it is not a runner and requires a few things to finish like fuel filters and line, rear brakes and lines, loom, ecu, exhaust and turbo

i am looking for £5k for this lot. i'm in no rush to sell so don't bother with the silly offers. i've spent way more than that on it, not to mention the amount of time that has gone into it. i will split if anyone wants parts from it, but won't be doing that for a few months as i'd rather sell the lot together to save hastle

any question feel free to ring - 07859074041 or e-mail - [email protected]

bits and pieces have changed since photo's were taken so i'd advice viewing the car before buying

car located in west somerset, can deliver at buyers cost

yea i was an active member on here a year or two ago and posted some pics then. forgot my user name and password so setup a new account to post this up. i knew you (jano) were interested in it back then so thought i'd stick it up on here, i'd rather it go to an enthusiast and get finished to a high standard

also on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT

thanks, the temptation to keep it is still quite high, i've put so much time into it i'd love to finish it off and race or rally it but i just don't have the time as i'm competing in the british sprint championship this year and the car i use for that needs developing so all my spare time and money are going into that, aswell as trying to keep my daily skyline running and finishing off my combi van project.

if this doesn't sell for the money i want then the combi project (series 1/90spec kit, smoothed, fully seam welded, hidden cage, ICE, duratorq and more load space than standard. needs spraying and some bodywork finishing to complete the shell) will be up for grabs and i'll finish this off instead..... so let me know if anyone is interested in that

yea mate, had different front bumper when i got it a few years ago, someone said something about it running a tilted engine on a site somewhere?! i never really bothered investigating the history as the metal speaks for itslef! fibreglass arches were already on when i got it, no idea where they came from

going to keep it together for a few months, then i will make a decision and either split or finish....
