escort mk6 van sleeper

Postby s1gup » Mon Aug 29, 2011 4:55 pm

hello welcome to my very very very regretful sale of my beloved escort van
only selling as at the min i do about 30 miles a day in it which will almost double as i'll have to drop our little boy off (9months old) to wifey's sister as my wife will be going back to work soon
i have another car already so its about time i let somone else have fun in the van
i've had the van for about 6 years now and i carried out the conversion about 3 years ago
i have a full photo build from start to finish even when fitting the new engine
to date i think my old cvh setup up had done over 15k
this zetec engine has down just over 900 miles so far and hasnt used any oil or water and co and hc have been fine
this is my daily driver and has never let me down
last year i had a new driver's sill fitted and i wasnt happy with it, it did have a small hole,so me and a good friend stripped it out and re done all the inner plate and inner plate on the nearside inner sill too (inside the van)
also had all the little luggage holders welded over in the back
all wax oiled in the back and archs
rubber mat

its been lowered
custom adjustable rear shocks
area 6 adjustable front lower arms
central locking on key and plip
spare set of keys and alarm fob
clifford alarm
recent rs 2000 front brakes (pads and discs)
i think about a year ago i did new rear drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, and bearings
when i did the conversion i had new rear metal brake pipes made from around the tank,to the rear load sensor and from the sensor to the rear wheel cylinders
recent 4 tyres
16 inch mondeo alloys been painted black

i had the orignal diesel tank cut open and a rs 2000 swirl pot and pump holder fitted
i put a new (msd) uprated escort cozzie fuel pump in and made my own petrol sender unit up as i am also running puma clocks,(which the gauge reads correct)

engine is my mates mums old car its a 66k 1.8 16v only 3 owners and all ladies which was in very good nick,i carried out a leak test and it was fine so i never have stripped it down as it still had the cross hatch marks on the bores (plus i have a spare engine anyway)
when i put the engine in i put a new crank sensor
fan switch
thermostat
water temp sensor
clutch kit
fan belt
timing belt kit
im running on a decomp plate and using 2 metal shimmed gaskets(poss focus st 170 ones)
adapter plate for the inlet
adapter plate for the t3 manifold (so you havent gotta worry about pulling the threads out on the head)
dash 31 acutater
fiesta turbo managemt (ofac)
195 chip and beiges
ecu sits inside the car
massive front mount intercooler with a custom reverse charge carrier
still running power steering
my old s1 exhaust i think its about 3inch all the way through
i have a rebuilt unrun stage 3 turbo which i havent fitted yet
its had 3 oil changes in the 900 miles
magnetic sump plug
if i have time (hopefully i will) i'll have given it an inside and out and a proper polish and re do the wheels, and have fitted a few of my painted bits on the engine, fitted the new turbo and checked the fueling using a wide band sensor)
thier are a few knocks, scratchs on the van which have all been thier when i bought the van but it is a sleeper so please bear that in mind (its not a donkey by any means)
still a few little niggly bits left ie trim bits that i haven't put back properly and so on

its got about 12 months mot and a few months tax left on the van

looking for £2500 ono with all of my spares

this is a lovely van to drive and always puts a smile on my face

no nasty knocks bang or anything when hot or cold
thier are a few
only bad bit is it idles a bit high when cold but then drops to under 1k when warmed up
ill try and get a few pics up later on today
any more info as i have poss missed out loads give me a ring on 07841700530 cheers
as said before a very regrettable sale
also have a star tester which i put on every know and then and it comes up all clear
