Hello, Newbie here!!

Just thought i'd get some pic's up of my cars.. Ones undergoing restoration atm, so i'll put that in the projects section..

This is my everyday car which i have had for just over a year..

Atm she's relatively standard, 3'' Magnex exhaust, K&N 57i airfilter, APS removed heatwrapped exhaust manifold with cat fitted!!, do have some small engine mods on the cards but nothing too major.

Externally she's going to remain the same except for opening rear 1/4 glasses, tinted headlamps & repeater lamps, i'm going to attempt to smoke the rear lamps myself  am also halfway through making a front bumper for the car!! this is basically a standard mk6 bumper but with the vent section of a 90 spec rst bumper glassfibred in :D

Other than that, she's staying the same.

Cheers - Phil

Just some quick pics of stuff i have done to the RS up until now..

Am contemplating putting the standard air box back on with a K&N panel filter, opinions on this would be greatly appreciated tbh, My max power is at about 6.2k revs which is nice along the motorways but i have like no low down torque.. I mean dont get me wrong.. its rapid but my mates standard 2K with 15's absolutely slaughters mine bottom end until about 4k when my car pulls his trousers down and give him a slap :D

Need to try to better my low down torque somehow, the Exhaust manifold has helped a bit, i have a slightly tweaked throttle body arriving on tues & hopefully a superchip in due course..

Sorry.. anyway Pic's.

One touch leccy sunroof.. has to be done :D

Had a go at the Manifold myself.. removed the APS pipes, welded up the holes, ground them back smooth inside & out then heatwrapped it..

Image
Undersealed all the floorpans inc fuel tank & sparewheel well..

Have wanted opening 1/4 glasses for ages.. loving these :D

Gonna give you a sneak peek at my front bumper i'm making atm, it's on hold as some so called friend damaged it but wont own up to it :(

Image
This was the vision i had before i started of how i wanted it to look

The plan was to use a standard mk6 bumper & graft on the lower vent section of a 90 spec front bumper..

These be the bumper sections..

The start...

Partway through.

Image
Getting there..

Image
One of the last pic's before it got damaged :x

My main aim was to keep it to the RS theme if i could..

Enjoy - Phil

Ok.. So after months of threatening the RS with an Airbox in an attempt to drag back some low down torque, i did just that!!

I have never driven the car with an airbox fitted as it came with the 57i in place & the old airbox in the boot.. which has a great induction noise but the car doesn't spring into life until about 3.5-4K

Image
See ya.. !!

Image
Treated her (well me lol) to a modified t/b..

Image
Old & New.. new one has the intake machined out & the axle slimmed up.

Image
In posish.

Image
All back together with a shiny Roose Motorsport induction hose, Will be getting the coolant and ancillery hoses sometime in the new year!! Airbox was treated to some small & not too many holes drilled into the front & underside to keep a bit of induction noise lol..

Ultimately, my decision has proved to be successful.. the car now accelerates a hell of a lot quicker from pullaway & Keeps pulling like a 2K does best..

Just gotta save up for a superchip now :D
